New in 1.1

A new look, free for everyone, and a web version.

Design

Redesigned from the ground up

A new gold-on-black look, a golden card you flip, a heat meter that builds through the night, and optional sound (off until you turn it on).

Free

Free, no code

Everything is unlocked. A few clearly labelled sponsor cards appear between rounds and at the end of the night, never during play.

Web

Plays in your browser

The whole game runs at couplesgamenight.com/play, iPhone included, with nothing to install.

Deck

36 new questions

New romance, being-desired and power-play questions, plus desire, take-the-lead and set-the-mood cards.

Rounds

Answer eight at a time

Short rounds between draws keep the night moving. Each of you can privately hide whole topics before a round.

Live

Two-phone play fixed in the app

The Android app now reaches the pairing service directly, so invite links and codes connect from the installed app too.

Updates

Stay on the current version

When a version is too old to keep using, the app asks you to update before a new night starts. A night in progress is never interrupted.

Trust

Current hash is published

The download page, checksum file and build details all match this release-signed Android app.

Earlier, in 1.0

Cleaner setup, stronger live play, better game flow.

Flow

Screen timeout keeps the game open

Letting the phone screen sleep no longer throws the couple back to the start screen when the app resumes.

Setup

Name fields behave normally

Partner name hints are placeholders now. You can fully clear the field and type the name you want.

Game

Card table is cleaner

Card mix choices happen before play. Private non-match counts, category clutter, and the redundant random option are no longer shown.

Reveal

Golden card animation is smoother

The draw uses a CSS-only spin, forward rush, soft gold dust bloom, and result reveal without a heavy video asset.

R18

Questions are more direct

The deck uses clearer adult wording while keeping illegal, non-consensual, and bystander-risk content out.

Live

Live pairing is smoother

Invite rooms now use durable signaling with a fast in-memory overlay for quicker phone-to-phone setup.

Private

App health stays limited

Basic health counters can track whether sessions reach the game, but they do not include names, sex or body-type setup choices, answers, fantasies, room codes, or match details.

Known limits

Good to know.

Two-phone live play

Phones link directly to each other. Some strict work or mobile networks block that; if pairing fails, swap the short codes instead or pass one phone.

Direct install prompts

Android may still ask you to allow your browser to install direct Android downloads. That is expected outside the Play Store.

Payments

The app is free. There are no purchases; a few sponsor cards appear between rounds and at the end of the night.
